Become a Richmond Carolina Fire District Volunteer!
On behalf of the Officers and Members of the Richmond Carolina Fire District we would like to thank you for your interest.
The Carolina Volunteer Fire Association is actively recruiting individuals who wish to serve the Richmond Carolina Fire District in the capacity of firefighter and or support personnel. Eligibility requirements include men or women 18 and older (see below for Junior Membership, age 14-17), good physical condition, and have the desire to participate in fire and/or emergency activities. No training or fire service experience is necessary for membership.
The Carolina Voluteer Fire Association will provide all training.
Those persons who do not have the desire to participate in emergency activities, or who do not meet the physical requirements for active membership are also encouraged to join the department as an Associate Member. These members contribute in the areas of fundraising, public relations, public education.

Junior Member Program
The Carolina Volunteer Fire Association welcomes volunteers ages 14-17 as junior members on the department. Juniors receive the same training as regular members and enjoy some of the same benefits.
