🚌 Back-to-School Safety: School Bus Safety As students head back to school, remember that safety starts before they even reach the classroom

Whether you’re driving, walking, or riding the bus, everyone has a role in keeping students safe.

πŸ›‘ Drivers: Slow down and stop when a school bus has its red lights flashing and stop arm extended. Never pass a stopped school bus.

🚢 Students: Stay alert around buses, use sidewalks and crosswalks when available, and wait for the bus to come to a complete stop before approaching.

Our members will be on-site and ready to assist with keeping fairgoers safe while enjoying all the fair has to offer.

Engine 617, Brush 614, and FOG 619 will be stationed at the fairgrounds, along with additional apparatus arriving at the beginning of each day.

Last night members were dispatched to a report of a large outside fire behind a residence

Richmond - Carolina Fire District, August 10

Members arrived to find a shed the was torn down and the owner burning the construction materials. Construction materials are not allowed to be burned if they contain pressure treated, plywood, roofing shingles, or any other type of materials that may have glue in them.
