This afternoon, we were dispatched to a reported brush fire in the James Trail/ Gardiner Road area

Arriving units found a working brush fire adjacent to a horse paddock, the fire was quickly contained but took extensive mop- up to extinguish.
Reminder to all that we are entering our spring brush fire season and to use caution with outside fire activity. Consult your local fire department before any burning.
No injuries were reported.
