| RCFD hosted the 2nd Annual Moira’s Mission fire extinguisher giveaway today, partnering with Universe Juice for the event. Lisa and Beth, Moira’s daughters, founded Moira’s Mission to honor their mother’s memory after losing her in a tragic accident. Their goal is to provide free fire extinguishers for people to keep in their vehicles in case of emergency.
Moira’s Mission encourages the community to learn more about Lisa’s story with Universe Juice and how Moira’s Mission began. Their efforts demonstrate remarkable resilience and are turning personal loss into positive action, giving back to others and promoting safety.
The fire station extends thanks to Aubuchon Ace Hardware, Jerry’s Hardware, and The Carolina Fire Association for donating the fire extinguishers, as well as Dunkin of Kingston and Lisa from Universe Juice for providing treats.
We are grateful to Lisa and Beth for allowing us to help honor their mother’s memory on her birthday.
