Last night members were dispatched to a report of a large outside fire behind a residence

Members arrived to find a shed the was torn down and the owner burning the construction materials. Construction materials are not allowed to be burned if they contain pressure treated, plywood, roofing shingles, or any other type of materials that may have glue in them. Members assisted the homeowner in extinguishing the fire. A reminder that any open burning outside of a small 3’x3’x3’ in a contained area requires a permit from the fire department. The permits are free.
