Their work requires not only skill and courage, but a deep reservoir of empathy as they face heartaches, respond to emergencies, and stand up for the most vulnerable animals in our communities. Yet amid the challenges, they create moments of profound joy: a life saved, a family reunited, a frightened animal finding safety because they were there. Their unwavering commitment strengthens the bond between people and animals, and their service makes our communities safer, kinder, and more humane. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to every officer who shows up each day with courage, compassion, and an unshakable dedication to animal welfare.
Take a moment and thank your local animal control officers this week for the work they do!
